I have been studying and practicing photography since my college days in Ottawa, Ontario. Algonquin College offered an excellent program in a wonderful city I always thought of as home. I've developed my skills through workshops such as Digital Imaging, Post-Production Lab, Commercial and Portrait Studio, History and Theory.
I consider myself to be a creative photographer, focusing more on artistic images and using editing software to create a harmonized, well-balanced photograph.
I do prefer working both outdoors and indoors with the natural light - sun and shadows. The more I shoot outdoors, the more I learn about the sun, reflections, highlights, and everything in between. That being said, I would still never turn down an opportunity to use the studio. There are endless things you can do with studio lighting that can't be done with just the sun, it always amazes me when I see what I've shot in there, especially when it requires no post-production work whatsoever. I am always surprising myself!
